Choir, Epic

Hoang Van is the composer who has written the most choral works in Vietnam. Inherited from Van Cao in "Long epic of the Lo River" and Nguyen Dinh Thi in "the people from Hanoi", he affirmed the vivacity of this new category of "long song" music, truong ca, in Vietnam in the early sixties. His symphonies often include one or more chorales and the chorales carry specificities of the language of the symphonic orchestra.
